Hi I'm Katie! Believe it or not, I've never been super artistic. In fact, my wife used to drag me to paint and sips and I ALWAYS complained. Mostly because my painting never turned out like the instructors, but also because I was not very "good" at it. Then we started painting ceramics and it seemed to make things more fun for me. Just picking colors and putting them to the piece was something I could do! After we had our daughter, who is now 7, we did not find ourselves in the ceramic studios much, but we found joy painting on rocks and hiding them around our neighborhood for friends to find. After visiting Leavenworth for 15 years and getting engaged here, we decided to make it home in 2020 and we opened the Art Haus in 2023. We love this community and the visitors it attracts and hope to be a part of your Leavenworth story-swing in the shop to make your own memory while visiting or come in to spark some creativity if you're local and looking for something fun to do!
